Vincent Van Gogh

1. Vincent Van Gogh was born in Groot-Zundert,Holland on 1853 and died 1890. Between 1860 and 1880 he decided to become an artist.He was the son of a pastor, brought up in a religious and cultured atmosphere. It was in Borinage Belgium where he studied art.
2. Vincent Van Gogh was very famous because of his beautiful art pecies. He also invented brush stroke, a very passionate one.
3. Gadsden Purchase, Republican Party formed for abolition of slavery, Smith & Wesson invent revolver,  civil war, Lincoln issues Emancipation Proclamation, freeing slaves, Lincoln assassinated, National League founded (baseball), Thomas Edison invents
incandescent light, that all happened during the time of 1853-1890, Vincent Van Gogh time.
4. January 3, 1853 San Diego County Board of Supervisors holds its first meeting. Feb 4, 1870
San Diego becomes the first city west of the Mississippi to set aside land for an urban park, This 1440 acre tract becomes the site for City Park, now Balboa Park. May, 1882  San Diego first Telephone company begins operation.
